Terms of use

1. Acceptance
These terms apply to everyone who uses Category Management Tools (“the site”). By signing in you agree to them and to the Privacy and POPIA notice. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
2. Authorised users and accounts
- The site is for internal business use. Only people invited by the administrator may use it.
- Your account is personal. Do not share your sign-in details or let anyone else use your account.
- You may use only the tools, reports and regions assigned to you.
- Tell the administrator straight away if you suspect someone else has used your account.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- try to get around sign-in or access controls, or look at information you have not been given access to;
- copy, export or share information for purposes other than your authorised work;
- upload harmful files or content, or interfere with how the site works; or
- enter personal information that your work does not need (see the privacy notice).
4. Confidential information
Ranges, sales, space plans, store information, minutes and reports on the site are confidential business information. Keep them confidential, share exports only with people entitled to see them, and store downloaded files securely.
5. Planning outputs and AI-assisted features
Calculations, suggestions, allocations, layouts and reports are planning aids. Some features use artificial intelligence, such as Rewrite notes in Minute Book. Outputs may contain errors. Check them against the source data before relying on them, acting on them or sharing them. The site does not replace professional, commercial or legal judgement.
6. Minute Book
Minutes, to-dos and notes you record are private to your account. You are responsible for their accuracy and content. Keep them factual and work-related. Changes made offline on a phone are stored on that device until they are sent, so keep the device locked and secure.
7. Your files and backups
You are responsible for files you download, export or keep in a local folder, including their security, backup, retention and authorised sharing.
8. Availability and changes
The site is provided for internal use and may change, be unavailable or be withdrawn at any time, including for maintenance. Tools and features may be added, changed or removed.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Category Management Tools was designed and built by Cornel Jordaan using artificial intelligence (AI) tools, for internal business use by authorised users only. It is a planning aid. Reports, calculations and AI-generated text may contain errors, so check results against the source data before relying on them or sharing them. The site is provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, the administrator is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its outputs.
10. Suspension and closing accounts
Access may be limited, suspended or removed if these terms are not followed, if your role changes, or to protect the site or its information.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
